Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

The NSE Nifty index closed 226.35 points down at 17891.95

Nifty continues to climb a wall of worry as it looks to be in the final leg of its rally before heading for a correction.

NEW DELHI: HDFC AMC(Rs. 161.66 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 114.35 crore), Zomato Ltd.(Rs. 73.86 crore), SBI(Rs. 53.79 crore), Ambuja Cements(Rs. 47.89 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 42.53 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 40.65 crore), FSN E-Comm(Nykaa)(Rs. 39.94 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 38.54 crore) and PNB(Rs. 33.83 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 226.35 points down at 17891.95, while BSE Sensex fell 773.69 points to 60205.06.

In the Nifty index, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.98 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.92 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 0.84 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.84 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.50 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 6.31 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 4.63 per cent), State Bank of India(down 4.32 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 2.76 per cent) and Cipla Ltd.(down 2.53 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
