Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

The NSE Nifty index closed 267.75 points down at 17490.7

Retail and banking stocks rose 0.5 per cent and 0.7 per cent, respectively.

NEW DELHI: Adani Power(Rs. 217.64 crore), Adani Green(Rs. 76.98 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 74.64 crore), Zomato Ltd.(Rs. 66.58 crore), PVR(Rs. 63.08 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 60.79 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 60.00 crore), Infosys(Rs. 58.28 crore), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(Rs. 57.08 crore) and Bajaj Finserv(Rs. 54.42 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 267.75 points down at 17490.7, while BSE Sensex fell 872.28 points to 58773.87.

In the Nifty index, Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 0.89 per cent), ITC Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 0.53 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 0.38 per cent) and Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.06 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd.(down 4.54 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 3.81 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 3.62 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 3.48 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 3.25 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
