Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: RIL(Rs. 2663.72 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 1301.00 crore), HUL(Rs. 1176.61 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1027.45 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 941.45 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 883.91 crore), Maruti Suzuki(Rs. 834.33 crore), Infosys(Rs. 774.07 crore), HDFC(Rs. 757.90 crore) and Hindalco(Rs. 746.45 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 178.95 points up at 15989.8, while BSE Sensex rose 616.62 points to 53750.97.

In the Nifty index, Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 4.76 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 4.52 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 4.37 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 4.03 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 3.65 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 5.06 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.73 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.35 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
