Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 2485.21 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 2207.19 crore), IndusInd Bank(Rs. 1860.14 crore), Waaree Energies(Rs. 1804.38 crore), BSE(Rs. 1801.54 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 1733.67 crore), HUL(Rs. 1665.84 crore), Natco Pharma(Rs. 1556.10 crore), Newgen Software(Rs. 1459.48 crore) and RIL(Rs. 1359.21 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 82.25 points down at 24246.7, while BSE Sensex fell 315.06 points to 79801.43.

In the Nifty index, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 3.22 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.76 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.63 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.29 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 4.07 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.92 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.56 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.53 per cent) and Eternal Ltd.(down 1.20 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
