Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Waaree Energies(Rs. 271.32 crore), SBI(Rs. 112.38 crore), Adani Transmission(Rs. 96.56 crore), Sangam Renewables(Rs. 80.44 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 73.93 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 69.58 crore), KP Green Engineering(Rs. 61.96 crore), Zomato(Rs. 60.88 crore), Afcons Infrastru(Rs. 59.41 crore) and IRFC(Rs. 53.51 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 217.96 points up at 24213.3, while BSE Sensex 694.39 points to 79476.63.

In the Nifty index, JSW Steel Ltd.(up 4.68 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 3.67 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 3.64 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.45 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.85 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Coal India Ltd.(down 1.90 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), Trent Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent) and ITC Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
