Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

The NSE Nifty index closed 218.85 points down at 24795.75

India 10-year bond yield declined 0.40 per cent to 5.98 after trading in 5.98 -6.04 range.

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 7705.68 crore), RIL(Rs. 3050.95 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 2568.41 crore), BSE(Rs. 2457.81 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 2320.01 crore), SBI(Rs. 1891.60 crore), Zomato(Rs. 1372.72 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 1341.35 crore), Jio Financial Services(Rs. 1285.83 crore) and Infosys(Rs. 1180.99 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 218.85 points down at 24795.75, while BSE Sensex fell 638.45 points to 81050.0.

In the Nifty index, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.42 per cent), ITC Ltd.(up 1.33 per cent), Trent Ltd.(up 1.31 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.29 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 4.14 per cent), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(down 3.56 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 3.49 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 3.37 per cent) and State Bank of India(down 3.27 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
