Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

The NSE Nifty index closed 34.8 points up at 25418.55

NEW DELHI: Tata Motors(Rs. 562.47 crore), Spicejet(Rs. 228.36 crore), Suzlon Energy(Rs. 85.81 crore), Zomato(Rs. 71.87 crore), Jio Financial Services(Rs. 64.82 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 56.93 crore), RIL(Rs. 53.07 crore), Shaily Engg Plastics(Rs. 52.07 crore), Rajoo Engineers(Rs. 50.07 crore) and Varun Beverages(Rs. 48.56 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 34.8 points up at 25418.55, while BSE Sensex rose 90.88 points to 83079.66.

In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.15 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.25 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.61 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.27 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.10 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.37 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.01 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.98 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
