Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

The NSE Nifty index closed 93.86 points up at 24951.15

Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, believes Monday's pattern could be considered as a High Wave, which reflects high volatility in the market at swing highs.

NEW DELHI: SIS India(Rs. 263.16 crore), Protean eGov Techno(Rs. 236.97 crore), Suzlon Energy(Rs. 157.49 crore), BHEL(Rs. 97.16 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 96.02 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 93.29 crore), GAIL(Rs. 88.03 crore), Torrent Power(Rs. 85.12 crore), Graphite India(Rs. 81.62 crore) and Dixon Tech(Rs. 69.36 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 93.86 points up at 24951.15, while BSE Sensex rose 285.94 points to 81741.34.

In the Nifty index, JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.90 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 2.65 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.63 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.23 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.90 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 2.04 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.99 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
