Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Gland Pharma(Rs. 1841.10 crore), Indus Towers(Rs. 1507.70 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 391.87 crore), Moschip Tech(Rs. 272.14 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 248.18 crore), Zomato(Rs. 236.10 crore), BEL(Rs. 207.40 crore), Cochin Shipyard(Rs. 151.11 crore), Shaily Engg Plastics(Rs. 139.90 crore) and Paras Defence(Rs. 125.17 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 41.91 points down at 23516.0, while BSE Sensex rose 36.45 points to 77337.59.

In the Nifty index, HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 3.12 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.92 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.59 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.35 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Titan Company Ltd.(down 3.53 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 2.70 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 2.54 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 2.53 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.41 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
