Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 2131.69 crore), RIL(Rs. 1314.01 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1160.06 crore), Infosys(Rs. 955.85 crore), BSE(Rs. 859.40 crore), SBI(Rs. 676.72 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 669.18 crore), Zomato(Rs. 641.92 crore), L&T(Rs. 618.75 crore) and Kotak Bank(Rs. 612.31 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 159.6 points down at 19122.15, while BSE Sensex fell 522.82 points to 64049.06.

In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 1.37 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.13 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.99 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent) and State Bank of India(up 0.59 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Infosys Ltd.(down 2.74 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.24 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 2.23 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 2.21 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 1.90 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
