Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Kotak Bank(Rs. 209.49 crore), IndiaMART(Rs. 203.96 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 181.55 crore), Metropolis Health(Rs. 172.48 crore), Motherson Sumi Wirin(Rs. 136.68 crore), TCS(Rs. 136.21 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 128.87 crore), Ajanta Pharma(Rs. 117.21 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 110.11 crore) and RIL(Rs. 109.19 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 82.05 points down at 19542.65, while BSE Sensex fell 231.62 points to 65397.62.

In the Nifty index, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.79 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.29 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.13 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.08 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(up 0.63 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, ITC Ltd.(down 2.69 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 2.30 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.29 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 2.08 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
