Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 2379.63 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 1228.01 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1132.96 crore), Zomato(Rs. 1127.51 crore), ITI Ltd(Rs. 1074.07 crore), RIL(Rs. 1044.30 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 991.02 crore), Cipla(Rs. 888.89 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 779.68 crore) and IRB Infra Dev.(Rs. 722.57 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 140.4 points down at 19671.1, while BSE Sensex fell 551.07 points to 65877.02.

In the Nifty index, Cipla Ltd.(up 3.16 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.41 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.95 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.46 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.59 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 2.80 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.78 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.61 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
