Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 2404.72 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1167.62 crore), RIL(Rs. 1145.24 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1084.27 crore), Zomato(Rs. 1017.12 crore), Bank of Baroda(Rs. 895.95 crore), TCS(Rs. 879.75 crore), Guj Mineral Dev.(Rs. 841.81 crore), SBI(Rs. 840.95 crore) and Axis Bank(Rs. 753.02 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 121.5 points up at 19811.35, while BSE Sensex rose 393.69 points to 66473.05.

In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 4.17 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 3.29 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 3.19 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 2.26 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.63 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent), State Bank of India(down 0.56 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
