Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

The NSE Nifty index closed 89.45 points down at 19543.1

Nifty moved in a tight range of 82 points, and ended slightly below the psychologically crucial level of 15,700.

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 4161.49 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 3215.86 crore), Zee Ent.(Rs. 3015.49 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 2399.34 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 2075.51 crore), RIL(Rs. 1959.53 crore), SBI(Rs. 1566.64 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1282.46 crore), Max Financial(Rs. 1031.00 crore) and Kotak Bank(Rs. 925.42 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 89.45 points down at 19543.1, while BSE Sensex fell 307.63 points to 65688.18.

In the Nifty index, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.81 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.48 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.10 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.99 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.79 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 1.50 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.18 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
