Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 2797.98 crore), HDFC(Rs. 2270.76 crore), HDFC Life(Rs. 1986.84 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1247.90 crore), RIL(Rs. 1116.24 crore), HAL(Rs. 813.52 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 774.87 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 670.77 crore), SBI(Rs. 599.57 crore) and FACT(Rs. 590.12 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 126.2 points up at 18817.4, while BSE Sensex rose 446.03 points to 63416.03.

In the Nifty index, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 5.86 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 2.10 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.83 per cent), State Bank of India(up 1.62 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.58 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.10 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 0.71 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
