Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Star Health(Rs. 672.10 crore), Policy Bazaar(Rs. 616.19 crore), HDFC AMC(Rs. 170.49 crore), JTEKT India (Rs. 79.82 crore), RIL(Rs. 65.00 crore), Birlasoft(Rs. 54.68 crore), Reliance Power(Rs. 52.66 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 47.12 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 44.59 crore) and Infosys(Rs. 44.48 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 178.2 points up at 18499.35, while BSE Sensex rose 629.07 points to 62501.69.

In the Nifty index, Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 2.73 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.63 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.30 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.28 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 2.12 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.60 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.58 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.27 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
