Sensex rises! These stocks are up over 10% on BSE

In the Nifty 50 index, 48 stocks were trading in the green, while 1 stocks were trading in the red.

Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, believes Monday's pattern could be considered as a High Wave, which reflects high volatility in the market at swing highs.

NEW DELHI: Quite a few stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green on Friday amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that rallied over 10% included, Pitti Engineering(12.0%), Welspun Corp(11.19%), Chemcon Speciality(10.56%), Kallam Textiles (10.47%) and Rose Merc. Ltd.(10.0%).

The 30-share Sensex traded 1211.5 points up at 54003.73, while the 50-share Nifty index rose 372.05 points to 16181.45.

In the Nifty 50 index, 48 stocks traded in the green, while 1 stocks were in the red.

Stocks such as Welspun Corp, Rose Merc. Ltd., Honda Siel Power, De Nora India and Chennai Petro hit their fresh 52-week high, while Garment Mantra Life, Birla Tyres, BFL Asset Finvest, Novartis India and Supreme Ind. touched their new 52-week low in trade.
