Sensex falls! But these stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Friday's trade as Dalal Street closed lower for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session down 30.81 points at 58191.29.

The top gainers included Markolines Traffic Controls Ltd.(up 10.0%), SAL Automotive(up 9.98%), Ravinder Heights Ltd.(up 9.98%), Maris Spinners(up 9.96%), A2Z Infra Engineeri(up 9.95%), GalaxyCloudKitchen(up 9.94%), Gujarat Poly Ele(up 9.94%), ZF Steering Gear(up 9.31%), Rhetan TMT Ltd.(up 9.26%) and Indian Hume Pipe(up 9.22%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Titan Company (up 5.31%), Power Grid(up 1.50%), ONGC(up 1.06%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.04%) and Grasim Inds.(up 0.88%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 17.15 points down at 17314.65.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 21 shares ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red.
