Sensex falls! But these stocks are up over 10% on BSE

In the Nifty 50 index, 6 stocks were trading in the green, while 44 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Quite a few stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red on Tuesday amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that rallied over 10% included, MRPL(14.31%), Chennai Petro(13.79%) and Saboo Sodium(11.52%).

The 30-share Sensex traded 592.81 points down at 55082.51, while the 50-share Nifty index fell 171.7 points to 16397.85.


In the Nifty 50 index, 6 stocks traded in the green, while 44 stocks were in the red.

Stocks such as AGI Infra Ltd., MRPL, Chennai Petro, Chemcrux Ent and Galaxy Bearings hit their fresh 52-week high, while Suumaya Corporation Ltd., Ramco Cements, ICICI Lombard, Life Insurance Corporation of India and Just Dial touched their new 52-week low in trade.
