NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Sensex pared most of its gains in mid-morning trade on Tuesday and turned choppy, led by losses in HDFC, HDFC Bank and State Bank of India.

According to analysts, the market is likely to consolidate in the near term and take cues from GDP figures.

At 11:30 a.m., the 30-share index was at 20,022.87, down 8 points or 0.04 per cent. It touched a high of 20,139.28 and a low of 19,963.23 in trade today.

The Nifty was at 6,074.05, down 8.25 points or 0.14 per cent. It touched a high of 6,111.35 and a low of 6,055.40 in trade today.
