Sentiment improving, but ground realities yet to look up in consumers: Dipan Mehta, Member, BSE & NSE
In a chat with ET Now, Dipan Mehta, Member, BSE & NSE, talks about Jubilant Foodworks.

ET Now: Talking of Jubilant Food, the same-store sales growth has been negative, and it is an extremely expensive stock. What does one do with it? If you have an investment there, would you move out of it?

Dipan Mehta: It depends upon what the price of entry is. If the entry cost is extremely low, then perhaps one could hold on to it if the outlook is long term.

But from a trading point of view, this stock could certainly be liquidated. This is the problem with consumption across the board. We have noticed this trend not just in pizzas but a whole host of other consumer products as well.

We saw the numbers play out in the likes of Godrej Consumer as well as HUL. So, on the one hand sentiment has certainly looked up, but at the ground level I am not sure that sales are picking up.
