Market mature enough to digest Bihar outcome soon: Deven Choksey

In a chat with ET Now, Deven Choksey, MD, KR Choksey Investment Managers Private Limited, talks about the impact of Bihar elections outcome on the domestic equity market.

ET Now: Looking at the market momentum, it seems that the fall in Thursday’s session was due to a bit of jitters before the Bihar exit polls come out.

Deven Choksey: Yes, the market is expected to remain circumspect till the exit poll outcome later in the evening and probably the results on Sunday. Probably thereafter, we may get the fresh direction.

ET Now: If the outcome is not in favour, do you think the market will go down further because it has already cracked quite a bit?

Deven Choksey: Knee-jerk reaction to the outcome cannot be ruled out. But at the same time, the market is mature enough to bounce back in subsequent period of time because I do not think that Bihar elections is an end of story for any government for that matter.
