UFO Moviez slips over 5% on fall in Q1 net profit

NEW DELHI: Shares of UFO Moviez slipped as much as 5.18 per cent in morning trade on Wednesday, after the company reported a 26.3 per cent drop in consolidated net profit at Rs 9.8 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared with Rs 13.3 crore reported for the year-ago period.
At 10:00 am, shares of UFO Moviez were trading 4.5 per cent lower at Rs 553.50. They hit a low of Rs 549.45 and a high of Rs 572.85 in the first 60 minutes of trade.
The company's revenues improved 3.1 per cent to Rs 134.6 crore from Rs 130.6 crore, while operating profit (Ebitda) stood at Rs 36.4 crore. In the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, Ebitda stood at Rs 40.6 crore.
In the theatrical and in-cinema advertisement business, PAT grew 5.7 per cent to Rs 15 crore from Rs 14.2 crore reported for the year- ago period.
