NEW DELHI: Domestic equity market managed to settle in the positive zone on Thursday by erasing early losses.

In the Nifty pack, Wipro, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Power, Reliance Industries, Bajaj Auto and Eicher Motors registered significant gains.

On the other hand, Bosch, Bharti Infratel, Coal India, Infosys and Aurobindo Pharma stood as top losers in the index.

Among the sectoral gainers on NSE, Nifty Realty led, followed by IT and auto indices.

Nifty Realty index closed at 280, up 1.36 per cent, on Thursday. Delta Corp, Godrej Properties, Indiabulls Real Estate and Sobha emerged as the top realty gainers.

GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Aurobindo Pharma and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories slipped over 1 per cent in the Nifty Pharma index.

Overall 81 stocks hit fresh 52-week high, while 26 stocks hit new 52-week low on NSE on Thursday.

NTPC, Hindalco, ONGC, Vedanta, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, State Bank of India, DLF and Idea Cellular were among the most active stocks in terms of volume on NSE.

Benchmark Nifty50 index closed 34 points higher at 9,918, while the 30-share Sensex was 84 points down at 31,730 at the end of today's session.

In the Nifty50 pack, 30 stocks settled in green, while 21 in red.
