IndusInd Bank has finalised a potential candidate to replace Romesh Sobti as the new CEO of the bank, it said in a notice to the stock exchanges without naming the candidate.
The bank board’s nomination and remuneration committee met on October 30 and finalised the name which has been sent to the Reserve Bank of India for approval.
Sobti retires after 12 years at the helm of IndusInd bank in March 2020. Though the bank has not named a successor, the current head of retail banking Sumant Kathpalia is considered the front runner for the role.
