Indian Hotels
Indian Hotels Company announced on Tuesday that it has sold its entire shareholding in Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts, formally ending its ownership relationship with the company. In a stock exchange filing, the now former Taj-owners said it has sold 1.6 crore shares, representing a 25.52% stake in Taj GVK, to Shalini Bhupal at a price of Rs 370 per share.
Bharat Forge
Bharat Forge announced that the Ministry of Defence has awarded a Rs 1,661.9 crore contract for supply of 255,128 CQB Carbines to the Indian Army. The order is set for execution within five years. The 5.56 x 45 mm Close Quarter Battle (CQB) Carbine is an indigenously designed, developed, and manufactured (IDDM) compact firearm jointly developed by Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Bharat Forge.
IndiGo
IndiGo parent InterGlobe Aviation on Monday received a Goods and Service Tax (GST) demand notice with a penalty of Rs 458.26 crore, imposing GST demand on compensation received from foreign supplier and denial of input tax credit.
State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd, which is completing stalled housing projects of erstwhile Amrapali Group, has sold 417 homes in Noida and Greater Noida for Rs 1,045.4 crore through e-auction. Titan
Titan Company on Tuesday announced the appointment of Sandhya Venugopal Sharma as chairperson and additional director of the company, with effect from January 4. She will replace the present chairperson Arun Roy, who will continue as Director on the company’s board. Sharma will act as a Nominee of Tamilnadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO), co-promoter of Titan Co.
Hyundai India
Hyundai Motors announced its entry into the commercial mobility segment with the launch of its dedicated taxi offerings — Prime HB (hatchback) and Prime SD (sedan). According to the company, the new Prime range has been developed for fleet operators and taxi entrepreneurs, focusing on low operating costs, reliability and higher earning potential. Both models are powered by a 1.2-litre Kappa four-cylinder engine, available with petrol and CNG options.
