Stock market update: BSE Consumer Durables index gains 600 points; Titan jumps 5%

NEW DELHI: S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading with 2.97 per cent gains at 02:29PM (IST) on Thursday.

Shares of TTK Prestige (up 5.83 per cent), Titan Company Ltd (up 5.11 per cent), Blue Star (up 2.79 per cent), Voltas (up 1.8 per cent) and Sheela Foam (up 1.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Whirlpool of India (down 0.92 per cent), VIP Industries (down 0.6 per cent), Rajesh Exports (down 0.24 per cent) and Symphony (down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 2.87 per cent up at 23654.91 around 02:29PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 25.25 points at 11560.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 23.05 points at 39109.08.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, Alok Industries and Bharti Infratel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Poly Medicure, Astral Poly Tech, Adani Green Energy Ltd., Tata Consumer Products and Tube Investments of India Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Darjeeling Ropeway Company Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Emmsons International Ltd., Vas Infrastructure Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Benara Bearings & Pistons Ltd., Mukta Agriculture Ltd. and B P Capital Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
