Share market update: Realty shares advance; Mahindra Lifespace up 1%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading with gains in Thursday's morning session.

Shares of Mahindra Lifespace (up 0.99 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (up 0.77 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects (up 0.76 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

Godrej Properties (up 0.56 per cent) Sobha (up 0.31 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (up 0.26 per cent) too were trading in the green.


The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.31 per cent up at 228.70 around 10:35 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 27.60 points at 10,834.25 while the BSE Sensex was up 112.28 points at 36,017.71.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.

Shares of Ashok Leyland, YES Bank, ONGC, Vodafone Idea, BHEL, SBI, Bandhan Bank, Motherson Sumi, Tata Motors and NMDC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
