Share market update: Consumer Durables shares trade higher; Titan rises 9%

NEW DELHI: Consumer Durables shares were trading higher in Tuesday's session.

Shares of Titan Company Ltd (up 9.42 per cent), TTK Prestige (up 6.2 per cent), VIP Industries (up 5.85 per cent), PC Jeweller (up 4.95 per cent), Blue Star (up 3.49 per cent), Symphony (up 2.99 per cent), Voltas (up 2.37 per cent), CROMPTON (up 1.9 per cent) and Whirlpool of India (up 1.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 5.13 per cent up at 19733.78 around 02:17 pm.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 616.80 points at 8700.6 , while the BSE Sensex was up 2155.37 points at 29746.32 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 48 were trading in the green, while 2 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SBI, YES Bank, SAIL, JSPL, ICICI Bank, RBL Bank Ltd., ITC, IndusInd Bank and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
