Share market update: Bank shares gain; RBL Bank rises over 1%

NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading with gains in Thursday's session.

Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 1.35 per cent) , IDFC BANK (up 1.18 per cent) , RBL BANK (up 1.02 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (up 0.9 per cent) , Bank of Baroda (up 0.89 per cent) , State Bank of India (up 0.84 per cent) , HDFC Bank (up 0.63 per cent) , Bandhan Bank (up 0.57 per cent) , Axis Bank (up 0.5 per cent) , Federal Bank (up 0.32 per cent) , ICICI Bank (up 0.28 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (up 0.18 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.66 per cent up at 20336.0 around 12:05PM.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 82.35 points at 9963.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 241.51 points at 33749.43.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, Tata Motors, Coal India Ltd, Manappuram Fin, Zee Ent., BEL, ITC, SBI and IDFC First Bank Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
