Sensex up; RIL, Sun Pharma most active in terms of value on NSE
In the Nifty 50 index, Sun Pharma, Grasim Industries and M&M were among the top losers.

NEW DELHI: While the 50-share Nifty was trading strongly above the 9,000 level, SBI, RIL, Sun Pharma, and Axis Bank shone among the stocks which were the most active in terms of value on Wednesday.
Shares of SBI (Rs 574.66 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 371.41 crore), Bharti Infratel (Rs 330.01 crore), RIL ( Rs 240.97 crore), Sun Pharma ( Rs 230.82 crore), HDFC (Rs 228.31 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 212.12 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 199.96 crore), Infosys (Rs 168.49 crore) and Idea Cellular (Rs 162.65 crore) were among the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in the afternoon trade around 12.45 pm (IST).
The NSE Nifty index was up 26.25 points at 9,127.05 level.
In the Nifty 50 index, Sun Pharma (down 0.94 per cent), Grasim Industries (down 0.92 per cent), M&M (down 0.85 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (down 0.64 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.58 per cent), GAIL (down 0.53 per cent), Infosys (down 0.48 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (down 0.38 per cent), Yes Bank (down 0.31 per cent) and RIL (down 0.30 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
On the other hand, Bharti Infratel (up 4.33 per cent), SBI (up 2.62 per cent), Tata Power (up 1.75 per cent), Asian Paints (up 1.38 per cent), Bank of Baroda (up 1.21 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 1.16 per cent), HCL Tech (up 1.02 per cent), Idea Cellular (up 0.96 per cent), Coal India Ltd (up 0.96 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro (up 0.90 per cent) were among the top gainers in the index.

Shares of Vardhman Special, Dishman Pharma, Urja Global, Edelweiss Fin, Kalpataru Power, Lincoln Pharma, IFB Industries, Blue Star Ltd, ABM International Ltd., Automotive Stamp touched their fresh 52-week high.
On the other hand, Sujana Metal, Sujana Towers, PTL Enterprises, Green Fire Agri, Ruchi Infra, IOL Chemicals, Bharati Ship, Intense Tech, ANG Industries and GOL Offshore hit their new 52-week low levels during the day.
