Sensex tests 25000, Nifty slips below 7500; top 20 trading bets

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Sensex pared gains and plunged over 100 points in trade on Monday, falling below its crucial psychological support level of 25000, led by losses in ITC, Infosys, HDFC Bank, HUL and Wipro.

Tracing the momentum, the 50-share Nifty index also came off from its intraday high of 7534.80 and slipped below its crucial psychological support level of 7500, weighed down by losses in FMCG, realty, power and realty stocks.

At 2:54 pm, the Sensex was at 24,900.02; down 205.49 points.

The 50-stock Nifty was at 7,446.85; down 64.60 points.
