NEW DELHI: Bucking the overall bearish trend, shares of MRF Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Supreme Industries hit fresh 52-week high on Wednesday on BSE.
Moreover, shares of Century Enka, Neyveli Lignite, TN Petroprod, Gravita India, Eros Media, Cura Tech, JITF Infralogistics Ltd, Crest Ventures, Rash Chem Fert and Time Techno hit their fresh 52-week high on NSE.
However, stocks such as Raj Rayon, Tricom India, Zenith Birla, Sujana Towers, Euro Finmart, Sujana Metal, SQS India, Gammon India, Global Offshore, KSK Energy Vent touched their fresh 52-week low during the trade.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 66.60 points down at 9054.90 in the afternoon trade on Wednesday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Overall, 9 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 42 were trading in red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Axis Bank, Dr Reddys Labs, Cipla, HCL Tech, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, PowerGrid, Sun Pharma, Bank of Baroda, NTPC stood among top gainers, while Bharti Airtel, BHEL, Tata Motors, Tata Motors, Eicher Motors, ICICI Bank, M&M, Ambuja Cements, Maruti Suzuki, UltraTech remained among major losers in the index.
The BSE Sensex was trading 221.14 points down at 29264.31 around 12.40 pm.
