Sensex down over 150 points, Nifty below 8,000; top 20 trading bets

NEW DELHI: The 50-share Nifty index managed to recoup some losses after falling below its crucial psychological level of 8000 in trade on Wednesday, led by gains in ITC, Infosys, HUL, RIL and HDFC Bank.

Tracking the momentum, the S&P BSE Sensex also managed to bounce back from its intraday low of 26641.76, supported by gains in FMCG, pharma, IT, metal and oil & gas stocks.

At 2:15 pm, the Sensex was at 26,648.87; down 126.82 points. The Nifty was at 7,975.; down 42.55 points.
