RIL and a dozen other stocks see block deals today

NEW DELHI: Over a dozen stocks, many of whom are Nifty constituents, saw block deals in the pre-market trade on Monday, as per ET NOW.

As per ET NOW, multiple block deals took place earlier today, with 41.3 lakh Reliance shares changing hands; 12.6 lakh TCS shares; 29.7 lakh Bharti Airtel shares and 71.8 lakh ICICI Bank shares.

Reliance Industries declined 2.7 per cent to Rs 2,435.40. The oil-to-telecom major's quarterly results were impressive on the telecom and retail fronts but fell slightly below expectations in the refining space.


TCS added 0.09 per cent to Rs 3,173.95. Bharti Airtel advanced 0.75 per cent to Rs 683.60 while ICICI Bank advanced 1.81 per cent to Rs 809.45.

Block deals were also seen in SBI (27 lakh shares), Coal India (21.5 lakh shares), ONGC (35.3 lakh shares) and Power Grid (42.5 lakh shares) as per ET NOW.

SBI rose 0.18 per cent to Rs 514.65. Coal India fell 0.68 per cent to Rs 195.75. ONGC declined 2.3 per cent to Rs 129.35. Power Grid edged 0.5 per cent lower to Rs 208.90.

Other shares which saw bulk deals included M&M (11.8 lakh shares), Wipro (18.5 lakh shares), NTPC (53.4 lakh shares), Zomato (27.9 lakh shares) and Tata Motors (22.4 lakh shares).

M&M declined 0.83 per cent to Rs 1,170.60. Wipro was up 0.4 per cent; NTPC declined 0.57 per cent; Zomato plunged 10.16 per cent while Tata Motors added 0.2 per cent.
