RBI to make regulatory sandbox facility available 'on tap'

Mumbai: The RBI has proposed to make the Regulatory Sandbox 'Theme Neutral' and 'On Tap' to keep pace with innovation in fintech space. RBI launched 4 specific thematic cohorts from 2019 and a fifth 'Theme Neutral' cohort with a specified time window for receiving applications in October 2023, which will close in May 2025. Any innovative product or solution within the ambit of RBI could be tested if found eligible. Now it is proposed to be perpetually accessible. - Our Bureau
