Patanjali said it would double annual production and distribution capacity this year.

"We now need to think long term as we should aim to make India an economic super power by 2040," the saffron clad holy man said on the sidelines of a State Bank of India conclave here in Mumbai. Growth will be driven by local brands, he said.
Baba Ramdev-led Patanjali group, which has given sleepless nights to FMCG giants like HUL and Colegate, reported 111 per cent rise in turnover to Rs 10,561 crore in FY17. Patanjali said it would double annual production and distribution capacity this year to "become biggest swadeshi brand within one to two years". Patanjali Ayurved expected revenue to touch Rs 20,000 crore in FY18. Ramdev has also spoken about creating five lakh jobs in coming years.
