Over 90 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE on Tuesday

The Nifty50 index closed Tuesday's session 23 points up at 10,208, while Sensex settled 101 points up at 32,607.

Over 90 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE on Tuesday
NEW DELHI: As much as 91 stocks, including Bharti Airtel, Delta Corp, Electrosteel Steels, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation, Godrej Properties, Gujarat State Petronet, Page Industries, Petronet LNG, Reliance Industries, Tata Chemicals, Tata Steel and Torrent Power hit a fresh 52-week highs on NSE on Tuesday.

On the contrary, Alps Industries, Hindustan Media Ventures, Dish TV India, Khaitan Electricals and TV Vision were among those 17 stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows.

Shares of Axis Bank (Rs 878.48 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 795.47 crore) and Infosys (Rs 677.42 crore) remained the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE on Tuesday.

On the other hand, shares of Idea Cellular (number of shares traded: 3 crore), Axis Bank (1.93 crore) and State Bank of India (1.72 crore) stood as the most active stocks in terms of volume on NSE on Tuesday.

Equity benchmarks Nifty and Sensex closed Tuesday's session in the positive zone, extending the gains for the second consecutive session.

The Nifty50 index closed Tuesday's session 23 points up at 10,208, while Sensex settled 101 points up at 32,607.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Asian Paints, State Bank of India, NTPC, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, GAIL, UPL and Hindustan Unilever remained the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

On the other hand, HCL Technologies, YES Bank, IndusInd Bank, Tata Motors, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Lupin and Aurobindo Pharma settled as the top losers.
