Nifty tanks: RIL, Tata Motors, Infosys, Axis Bank among most active stocks

NEW DELHI: Frontline stocks, Reliance Industries, SBI, Tata Motors, Infosys, Bank o Baroda and Axis Bank were among the most active stocks in terms of traded value on Monday.


Shares of RIL (Rs 492.28 crore), SBI (Rs 228.01 crore), Divis Lab (Rs 221.81 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 191.67 crore), Infosys (Rs 172.06 crore), Bank of Baroda (Rs 153.55 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 146.09 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 142.04 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 141.97 crore), Hindalco Inds. (Rs 140.96 crore) stood among most active stocks in terms of value on NSE on Monday .

In the Nifty 50 index, Idea Cellular (down 3.63 per cent), Tata Steel (down 3.11 per cent), Hindalco Inds. (down 2.51 per cent), RIL (down 2.42 per cent), Aurobindo Pharm (down 2.24 per cent), Kotak Bank (down 2.16 per cent), Coal India Ltd (down 1.93 per cent), Lupin (down 1.92 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (down 1.83 per cent), Sun Pharma (down 1.73 per cent) and stood among top losers.

On the other hand, Bank of Baroda (up 1.01 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 0.81 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 0.72 per cent), BHEL (up 0.63 per cent), PowerGrid (up 0.49 per cent), Dr Reddys Labs (up 0.45 per cent), SBI (up 0.45 per cent), Hind. Unilever (up 0.42 per cent), ACC (up 0.26 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (up 0.02 per cent) topped on the Nifty 50 chart.

Most Active stocks in terms of value help investors to identify the stocks with highest trading turnover during the day.

During the day Alkyl Amines, Cimmco Ltd, Eros Media, Vadilal Ind, Welspun Ent., Bombay Dyeing, Electrostl Cast, Nitin Spinners, Pudumjee Paper Products Ltd., ABM International Ltd. are the stocks which touched their fresh 52week high.

On the other hand PTL Enterprises, Rasoya Proteins, FCS Software, Raj Rayon, Zenith Birla, Viji Finance, Country Condos, Sujana Towers, JMT Auto, Intense Tech stocks hit their new 52week low levels during the day.
