Nifty below 9,100: TCS, RIL among the most active stocks in terms of value

NEW DELHI: Shares of Divi's Lab (Rs 990.59 crore), Idea Cellular (Rs 579.69 crore), TCS (Rs 295.35 crore), RIL (Rs 292.79 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 272.78 crore), Dr Reddys Labs (Rs 239.16 crore), ITC (Rs 211.76 crore), HCL Tech (Rs 208.11 crore), State Bank of India (Rs 197.14 crore) and ICICI Bank (Rs 187.85 crore) were among the most active stocks in terms of value in the afternoon trade on NSE on Tuesday.

The NSE Nifty was down 27.50 points at 9,099.35 around 12.30 pm (IST).

In the Nifty 50 index, Idea Cellular (down 4.91 per cent), Dr Reddy’s Labs (down 3.78 per cent), Axis Bank (down 2.88 per cent), Bank of Baroda (down 1.90 per cent), GAIL (down 1.78 per cent), M&M (down 1.71 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (down 1.69 per cent), Sun Pharma (down 1.67 per cent), Tata Motors (down 1.61 per cent) and YES Bank (down 1.29 per cent) were among the top losers.

On the other hand, Bosch (up 2.13 per cent), Grasim Inds. (up 1.21 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 1.08 per cent), ITC (up 0.90 per cent), ONGC (up 0.76 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (up 0.73 per cent), Ambuja Cements (up 0.68 per cent), Infosys (up 0.54 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.46 per cent) and Coal India Ltd (up 0.41 per cent) were trading in the green.

Most active stocks in terms of value help investors identify the stocks with the highest trading turnover during the day.

Shares of Neyveli Lignite, Eros Media, Weizmann Forex, Crest Ventures, JITF Infralogistics Ltd., ABM International Ltd., Vadilal Ind, Indian Metals, and Future Lifestyle touched their fresh 52-week high during the trade.

On the other hand, KSS Ltd, Rasoya Proteins, Divis Lab, Raj Rayon, High Ground Ent, Tricom India, Kavveri Telecom, SQS India, Dr Reddys Labs, and DS Kulkarni Dev hit their new 52-week low levels.
