Most active stocks in terms of volume till noon trade on Friday

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded 6.56 crore), Axis Bank (1.81 crore), Idea Cellular (1.42 crore), SBI (0.62 crore), Hindalco Inds. (0.60 crore), ITC (0.44 crore), Motherson Sumi (0.44 crore), GAIL (0.37 crore), ONGC (0.36 crore), ICICI Bank (0.36 crore), PowerGrid (0.33 crore), DLF (0.28 crore), Ashok Leyland (0.28 crore), PNB (0.27 crore), YES Bank (0.25 crore), Vedanta Ltd (0.25 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange till noon trade in Friday ’s session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 23.95 points down at 8411.15 around the same time, while the BSE Sensex was down 99.26 points at 27209.34 on January 20.

In the Nifty index, Idea Cellular (up 4.11 per cent) , Bharti Airtel (up 2.81 per cent) , Grasim Inds. (up 2.09 per cent) , YES Bank (up 1.91 per cent) and UltraTech Cem. (up 1.68 per cent) were among top gainers till noon trade, while Axis Bank (down -5.31 per cent) , Tata Motors (down -1.79 per cent) , ICICI Bank (down -1.63 per cent) , ONGC (down -1.42 per cent) and Bharti Infratel (down -1.38 per cent) were among top losers.
