Market Now: Top stocks and sectors buzzing in trade today

NEW DELHI: Among the sectoral indices on BSE, BSE Realty (up 1.36 per cent), BSE Healthcare (up 1.01 per cent), BSE Telecom ( up 0.61 per cent), BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods (Up 0.48 per cent), BSE Power (up 0.39 per cent) and BSE Metal (up 0.24 per cent) were among top gainers in Thursday's trade around 10.30 am (IST).

On the other hand, BSE Oil & Gas (down 0.65 per cent), BSE Bankex (down 0.28 per cent), BSE Information Technology (down 0.24 per cent), BSE Capital Goods (down 0.22 per cent), BSE Teck (down 0.14 per cent), BSE Consumer Durables (down 0.11 per cent) and BSE Auto (down 0.04 per cent) were trading in red.

Among the 51 components in the Nifty index, 21 shares were in green, while 30 were trading in red around the same time.

Traders were seen piling up position in equipments, shipping, gems and jewellery, beverages - non-alcoholic, electronics, infrastructure, personal care, hospitality, power, food processing, telecommunications, retail, tea / coffee, finance, petroleum, construction, petrochemicals, service, miscellaneous, beverages - alcoholic, auto ancillaries, paints and pigments, tobacco, leather and cement sectors.

However, selling were visible in aquaculture, glass, packaging, rubber, transport, agriculture/horticulture/lives, engineering, mining, textiles, auto, information technology, banks, chemicals, plastics, edible fat, iron and steel, sugar, consumer durables, pharmaceuticals and health care, tyres, metals - non ferrous, paper, automobilies, electric equipment and cables sectors.
