The domestic equity markets was trading in red on Thursday afternoon on account of weak global cues.

Shares of Apollo Hospital (Rs 929.09 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 358.93 crore), YES Bank (Rs 310.47 crore), JSW Steel (Rs 219.29 crore), TCS (Rs 213.90 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 213.26 crore), SBI (Rs 208.57 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 161.87 crore), Bank of Baroda (Rs 159.61 crore), Hind. Unilever (Rs 150.27 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 119.75 crore), Infosys (Rs 116.58 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 111.43 crore), HCL Tech (Rs 110.79 crore), HDFC (Rs 107.99 crore), RIL (Rs 103.87 crore), PNB (Rs 101.54 crore), Glenmark Pharma (Rs 94.40 crore), Cipla (Rs 94.34 crore), ITC (Rs 86.58 crore) were among the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE on Thursday at around 11.10am (IST).

The NSE Nifty was down 66.45 points at 9,459.30 at around the same time.

In the Nifty 50 index, Hindalco Industries (down 2.72 per cent), Tata Motors (down 2.33 per cent), Bharti Infratel (down 2.32 per cent), Eicher Motors (down 2.24 per cent), UltraTech Cem (down 2.04 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro (down 2.00 per cent) were trading in red in morning trade.

On the other hand, TCS (up 2.79 per cent), Wipro (up 2.44 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 1.73 per cent), Infosys (up 0.99 per cent), Lupin (up 0.72 per cent), HCL Tech (up 0.62 per cent), Bank of Baroda (up 0.52 per cent) and Coal India Ltd (up 0.42 per cent) were trading in green.

Most active stocks in terms of value help investors to identify the stocks with highest trading turnover during the day.

Shares of Vardhman Hold, Gufic BioSci, AGC Networks, Summit Sec, Caplin Point, Trigyn Tech, Lakshmi Finance, Avanti Feeds, and Vaibhav Global hit their fresh 52-week high in Thursday’s trade.

On the other hand Cigniti Tech, Green Fire Agri, Shilpi Cable Tec, Hindustan Dorr, Gitanjali Gems, MT Educare, Glenmark Pharma, McNally Bharat, GOL Offshore, Nitin Fire Prot, KSS Ltd, Kaushalya Infra, Shekhawati Poly, Rasoya Proteins, Sita Shree Food, Inox Wind Ltd., Lanco Infratech, FCS Software touched their new 52-week low.
