Market Now: Realty stocks trade up; Prestige Estates, IB Real Estate top gainers

NEW DELHI: Most of the realty stocks were trading up in morning trade on Friday.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 2.58 per cent up at 310 around 10:35 am (IST), with shares of Prestige Estates Projects (up 4.49 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (up 3.98 per cent), Godrej Properties (up 3.85 per cent) and Sobha (up 3.56 per cent) as the top gainers.

Shares of Delta Corp (up 2.41 per cent), DLF (up 2.18 per cent), Housing Development & Infrastructure (up 1.67 per cent), Unitech (up 1.64 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (up 0.68 per cent) were also trading up.

Phoenix Mills (down 0.18 per cent) was the only component in the Nifty Realty index that was in the red around that time.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 109 points up at 10,324, while the BSE Sensex was 347 points up at 33,454.

Among the 51 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 41 were trading in the green, while 8 were in the red.

Vedanta, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, YES Bank, Hindalco and State Bank of India were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies and Wipro were among the top losers.
