Market Now: Over 85 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs

NEW DELHI: Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 36.90 points up at 10,385.65 on Friday at around 1.03 pm (IST).

Shares of KSS, Zuari Global, Royal Orchid, Weizmann Forex, Rane (Madras), Praj Industries, MIRC Electronic, Quess Corp, Puravankara Prj and N K Industries hit their fresh 52-week high during the trade on NSE.

However, stocks such as Shyam Telecom, Bohra Industries, HEC Infra Projects., Golden Tobacco, Innovative Tyres & Tubes, Supreme Tex, Gemini Comm, TV Vision, Sri Adhikari and Goenka Diamond touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 32 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 18 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

In the Nifty 50 index, Infosys, IndusInd Bank, HPCL, Aurobindo Pharm, GAIL, Bharti Infratel, Bajaj Finance, PowerGrid, M&M, Ibull HousingFin were among top gainers, while Hindalco Industries, Vedanta, Adani Ports SEZ, Wipro, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, NTPC, ONGC, Asian Paints, Dr Reddys Labs were trading in red.

BSE Sensex was trading 83.97 points up at 33672.05 at around the same time. Traders were seen piling up position in Textiles, Retail, Petrochemicals, Infrastructure, Cables, Personal Care, Service, Information Technology, Petroleum, Tobacco sectors, while selling were visible in Aquaculture, Glass, Packaging, Electronics, Gems and Jewellery sectors.
