Market Now: Over 60 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Over 60 stocks, including Archies, BPL, Dixon Technologies (India), Gandhi Special Tubes and Greenlam Industries hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Tuesday's trade.

Stocks such as Gufic Biosciences, Hexa Tradex, Indo Rama Synthetics (India), Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki India, MindTree, MIRC Electronics, Motherson Sumi Systems, Page Industries, PC Jeweller, Raymond and Titan Company were also among the stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE.

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty opened on a firm note on Tuesday on optimism over win for the ruling party BJP in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections and record closing for US stocks in overnight trade.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 34 points up at 10,423, while BSE Sensex was up 102 points at 33,704 around 10 am (IST).

Stocks such as UPL, Eicher Motors, Vedanta, Aurobindo Pharma, Tata Motors and Hindalco were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, GAIL, HCL Tech, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finance, Infosys and IndusInd Bank appeared among the losers.
