Market Now: Over 40 stocks hit fresh 52-week lows

NEW DELHI: Over 40 stocks, including Adhunik Industries, Sri Adhikari, Piramal Phytocare, Dishman Carbogen Amcis, Dixon Technologies (India), Sintex Plastics Technology, Cupid, Signet Industries, SML Isuzu, Shilpi Cable Technologies, Nitin Spinners and Kitex Garments touched their fresh 52-week lows on NSE in Monday's trade.

On the other hand, Capacit'e Infraprojects, ITI, Lasa Supergenerics, Oberoi Realty, Orient Press, Reliance Home Finance, Shoppers Stop and TV Today Network were among those 17 stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs in Monday's trade so far.

Equity benchmarks remained depressed, with benchmark Sensex cracking nearly 350 points and Nifty50 touching 9,851-mark.

At 10.15 hours, Nifty50 was 101 points down at 9,863, while Sensex was 291 points down at 31,630.

Among the losers, Indiabulls Housing Finance cracked up to 6 per cent in the Nifty index. It was followed by Tata Steel, Adani Ports, Ambuja Cements and ACC, each cracking over 3 per cent.

Power Grid, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Power and Bharti Infratel were gaining in trade.

On the NSE, 157 stocks were advancing, compared with 1439 stocks declining and 371 stocks remaining unchanged.

On BSE, 265 stocks were advancing whereas 1,861 stocks were lagging and 73 stocks were appearing unchanged.
