Market Now: Over 35 stocks hit fresh 52-week high

NEW DELHI: Shares of Sanwaria Agro, Central Depository Services (India), Aditya Birla Money, Magnum Ventures, First Winner, Pearl Polymers and Goa Carbons were among 36 stocks that hit their fresh 52-week high on NSE in Tuesday's early trade after benchmark Sensex and Nifty started the day on a solid note and hit fresh record high.

However, 5 stocks- Lanco Infratech, REI Agro, Prakash Steel, FCS Software and KSS- hit their fresh 52-week low.
Sensex and Nifty 50 carried forward their upward streak and touch their all-time high at 31,802.03 and 9,800.90 respectively on account of buying in auto, IT and pharma sectors.

Positive cues from Asian peers also boosted market sentiment.

Benchmark Nifty50 index was 0.30 per cent up at 9,800.10, while the 30-share Sensex was 0.29 per cent up at 31,808.05 around 9.45 am (IST).

In the Nifty50 pack, 32 stocks were trading in green, while 18 stocks were in red.

On BSE, 1,131 stocks were advancing whereas 649 stocks were lagging.

Meanwhile, rupee opened 8 paise higher at 64.45 against dollar on sustained selling of dollars by exporters amid a record rally in domestic equities.

Traders were seen piling up position in telecommunications, electronics, infrastructure, paints and pigments, power, automobiles, finance and petroleum sector while selling were visible in aquaculture, textiles, mining, banks, plastics and consumer durables sectors.
