Market Now: Over 120 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs

NEW DELHI: Over 120 stocks, including Delta Corp, Emami, GAIL (India), Greenlam Industries, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare and HDFC Bank hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Wednesday's trade, even as the overall market sentiment appeared to be cautious.

Hindustan Unilever, Jet Airways (India), Jindal Steel & Power, Jain Irrigation Systems, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki India, Minda Industries, MIRC Electronics, Motherson Sumi Systems, Raymond, Titan Company, TVS Motor Company and Wockhardt also joined the bandwagon of the stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs today.

On the other hand, Diligent Media Corporation, Hanung Toys and Textiles, Sezal Glass, STEEL EXCHANGE INDIA and Sujana Universal Industries were the five stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE.


The Nifty50 index was trading 13 points up at 10,476, while the BSE Sensex was 51 points up at 33,888 around 12.40 pm (IST).

Hero MotoCorp, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Lupin and Hindalco Industries were trading among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

On the contrary, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Tata Steel, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone and Eicher Motors were trading in the negative zone.

Out of total 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
