Market Now: Nifty Realty index top sectoral loser; Sobha cracks 3%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index was trading as the top loser among the sectoral indices on NSE in Tuesday's trade.

The realty index was trading 0.33 per cent down at 284 around 10:28 am (IST). Benchmark Nifty was 0.19 per cent up at 10,008, while Sensex was 0.23 per cent up at 31,919 around that time.

Among the 51 stocks in Nifty index, 31 were trading in green, while 19 were in the red.

Sobha (down 2.59 per cent), Godrej Properties (down 1.23 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 1.06 per cent), Phoenix Mills (down 1.02 per cent) and DLF (down 0.72 per cent) were the top losers in the Nifty Realty index.

However, Delta Corp (up 1.53 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (up 0.78 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (up 0.72 per cent) were gaining in trade.

Shares of ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, Coal India Ltd, SBI, SAIL, PowerGrid, Vedanta Ltd, Infosys, YES Bank, Hindalco Industries, Bank of Baroda, DLF were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's trade.

Shares of TVS Electronics, Times Guaranty, Genus Paper & Boards, Adani Transmission, Coral India Fin, RSR Mohota hit their fresh 52-week high in today's trade.

On the NSE, 1085 stocks were advancing, compared with 503 stocks declining and 382 stocks remaining unchanged.
